Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers spinner Fawad Ahmed has inspired a stunning fightback on Day 4 of Victoria’s JLT Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales.
Ahmed (5-94) claimed three wickets in as many overs to remove the NSW tail and secure a 23 run win for Victoria.
At the start of play, the visitors were 2-150 requiring 159 to win. Three wickets fell before lunch, leaving New South Wales 5-217 trailing by 92 runs heading into the second session.
