Hussey hammered the home side's bowling, hitting four sixes in all, to finish the day unbeaten on 222 from 232 balls and in the process overhauled Nottinghamshire's previous highest individual score against Yorkshire of 220 not out by Tim Robinson at Trent Bridge in 1990.
The batsman made his score out of 497 for six to give the visitors a massive first-innings lead of 319 with two days still to go.
