Top 30 Victorian Cricket Mos - #2 Thomas Horan

Horan was born in Dublin, Ireland yet went on to captain Australia.

Horan made his Victorian debut in 1874-75 at the age of 20.

Three years later he played in the first ever Test between Australia and England.

For Victoria he played 50 innings with a highest score of 129 and scored a total runs of 1,295.

He scored five centuries for the Big V including one against England in 1886-87.

Horan made as great an influence to the game after he retired then what he did before it.

He was the first cricket writer that played the game at the highest level and his work is still revered to this day.

First-Class Stats: 106 matches, 4027 runs at 23.27, Highest Score 141*
