Top 30 Victorian Cricket Mos - #23 Paul Hibbert

Hibbert made his first class debut for Victoria in 1974-75, playing three matches.

In a tour match against the Indians during 1977-78 at the MCG, Hibbert scored an even 100, his maiden first-class century.

It was notable for the fact that it did not contain one boundary, perhaps one of the origins of his nickname "Dasher".

In thirteen seasons, Hibbert played 77 first class matches for Victoria, scoring 4775 runs at 39.14, including nine centuries and 25 half-centuries.

Hibbert moved into the role of Victorian state selector for a number of seasons following his retirement, including the successful 1990-91 Sheffield Shield season for the Vics.

He also became a respected commentator with ABC radio for several seasons.

First-Class Stats: 78 matches, 4790 runs at 38.62, Highest Score 163
