Bio: McDonald had an outstanding 2008/09 season that saw him make his Test debut and earn a ticket on Australia's tours of South Africa and England. His form at interstate level was terrific, averaging 44.5 with the bat and 21.32 with the ball in the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield. He had similar success in the Ford Ranger Cup, scoring 219 runs at 43.8 and taking 11 wickets.

The tall redhead is one of the premier all-rounders in all forms of the game with an astute cricket brain who adds depth and variety to any side.

His continued strong showing across the board in 2009/10 has again thrust him into contention for higher honours.
