Bryce McGain
Nickname: Bryce McGain
D.O.B: 25-03-1972
Weight: 75kg
Height: 182cm
Club: Prahran
Batting: Right Hand Bat
Bowling: Right Arm Leg Break
Bio: On the verge of Test selection, McGain's 2008/09 season almost didn't happen after a cruel shoulder injury suffered on the eve of Australia's tour of India sidelined him for the better part of four months. But diligent rehab and a positive attitude saw McGain back taking wickets in Victorian colours by January. After a few Twenty20 matches, the leg-spinner played one Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield match - taking 5/104 in the second innings against SA - and was called into the Australian squad for the tour of South Africa and made his Test debut in Cape Town.
McGain has been sidelined at times in 2009/10 by the selector's preference for emerging young spinner Jon Holland, although the elder statesman of spin has again shown his worth with some telling performances in the Ford Ranger Cup.
