Bio: Pattinson had an interrupted 2008/09 with the Bushrangers, struggling with a persistent groin injury. But he played three Sheffield Shield matches and started to come good at the end of the season, taking a haul of 5/38 against Tasmania.

The English-born paceman enjoyed a meteoric rise in 2008, getting a contract with County side Nottinghamshire and he impressed so much, he played a Test match for England against South Africa that year. Pattinson returned to Notts for another stint during the winter but the former roof tiler has had few opportunities in Victorian colours in 2009/10.

A tall, strong bowler, Pattinson has the ability to 'hit the deck' and challenge batsmen with his bounce. Older brother of emerging paceman James.
