Bio: Wade finally reached his potential in 2008/09, cementing his spot in the Victorian Sheffield Shield side and, with the departure of Adam Crosthwaite, becomes the Bushrangers number one wicketkeeper in all three forms of the game for the coming season.

The left-hander broke Darren Berry's record for most dismissals in a Pura Cup/Sheffield Shield season, taking 57 catches, and scored his maiden first-class century against his former side, Tasmania. To prove it wasn't a fluke, he followed up that effort with 100 not out in the very next match against Queensland.

Wade's big pre-season has paid off with the wicketkeeper comfortably shouldering the responsibility that comes with being the premier gloveman in all three forms of the game. He has also consolidated his batting performances - often opening in the FRC and Big Bash matches. A number of match winning innings have highlighted his versatility, with fighting knocks, innovative and power hitting all on display at various stages.
