About Rob Quiney

Weight 90kg
Height 191cm
Club St. Kilda
Batting Left Hand Bat
Bowling Right Arm Medium

The winner of the Bill Lawry Medal for Victoria's best Sheffield Shield Player of the Year, Quiney enjoyed the finest season of his career. Coming off a disappointing 2009-10 season, in which he was dropped from all three sides, a more determined Quiney got the benefits from a full pre season.

With the Victorian batting line-up under more pressure than past years, Quiney stood up, hitting 724 runs, including two centuries and four half-centuries. He was named in the Johnnie Walker ACA Four-Day Team of the Year and was also awarded the prestigious John Scholes Medal as voted by his teammates.

A personal highlight came in December when he struck his first One-Day domestic ton. He bludgeoned the South Australian bowlers, finishing with the second quickest One-Day domestic hundred by a Victorian. His 103 from 67 balls is now the high point of an impressive limited overs record. Having played 43 matches, Quiney now averages 35 at almost a run-a-ball.
