After four consistent seasons with Premier side Frankston Peninsula, 22-year-old Scott Boland has been rewarded with a rookie contract.
Boland finished the 2010-11 Premier season with a haul of 33 wickets at an average of 25.3. His best match of the season came in round eight when he single-handily destroyed Essendon with match figures of 8-85.
Boland was the opening bowler for Victoria in the 2010 "Baby Bash", the Futures League Twenty20 tournament. His series figures of 6-69 from 11 overs were a big reason the Victorians won the title.
In the 2008-09 season, Boland won the Premier Cricket 2nd XI Player of the Year.
